
Ingredients
1 lb of chickpeas
2 large onions
3 garlic cloves
3/4 cup of chopped parsley (and/or cilantro, if you like it)
1 teaspoon of baking powder
2 teaspoons of cumin
Salt and pepper to taste
Frying oil
Preparation
1. Soak the chickpeas in water throughout the night.
2. Drain and process the raw chickpeas, along with the onions, garlic, parsley and the salt and pepper. A thick paste must be the result.
3. Let it rest in the fridge for half an hour.
4. Make balls and deep fry in a lot of hot but not boiling oil, for about 5 minutes.
